Supermotos and Enduro's are excellent machines for either young riders to learn the ropes on or as a second bike or weekend toy for those who want to enjoy the fun side of motorcycling often found away from the tarmac. In the UK, a whole subculture exists revolving around these types of motorcycles. Some insanely skilled riders can do things you thought impossible on a supermoto, who have social accounts with huge followings dedicated to stunt riding.
FB Mondial, a classic Italian motorcycle manufacturer which has been around since 1929, has some of the best looking learner legal supermotos and Euduros in the segment called the SMX 125.
With similar styling and proportions to much bigger machines, this bike packs a 125cc engine with the max 14.75 horsepower allowed on a 125cc learner legal machine which means it sits at the top of the table performance-wise for those limited to 125cc.
Equipped with long-travel suspension, large front and rear wavy disc brakes, and a purpose-built lightweight frame, riders can very quickly push their limits and develop their skills.
On the technical side of things, the SMX 125 is equipped with a 124cc single-cylinder engine. With a double overhead cam, performance four-valve head, and fuel injection. The bike is manufactured in the Piaggio factory, which ensures the SMX also has the quality to match the looks.
For 2021/2022, Mondial has released two vibrant new colourways for the SMX with a much more race-inspired look featuring two-tone liveries and proudly displaying the brand logos of the company's that produce all the components that go into making this premium 125. Names such as Dellorto, CST, LeoVince and Blackbird Racing.
Riders can choose either a red and black or yellow and black livery. The FB Mondial SMX 125 retails at £3799 + OTR costs, the same price for both the SuperMoto version & the Enduro
