SPORTSTER SUPERLOW 883

Harley-Davidson may not know this yet but in 2021 EU emission regulations will stop them from selling their "loved by many" EVOlution engine and that is a tragedy in my eyes.
I've owned and loved many Sportsters in the past, they're a range of motorcycles I always find myself going back to, just because it gives you such raw feelings.
When the engine comes alive, the pegs barely holding on and the vibrations from the handlebars are unmistakable. Smooth power right where it's needed, the 883 air cooled EVO engine is punchy in the lower rpms, but it lacks excitement up top.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it'll make you want to go through all the gears with pleasure. It's a shame there isn't a sixth gear!
What the EVO be may be lacking in performance at high revs, it makes up for in comfort, that's for sure.
This isn't just a relaxing cruiser, it also gives lots of confidence to new riders, thanks to the mid controls that allow for greater lean angle and higher handlebars to keep a straight back. That and the enjoyment of a simple engine and a set of handlebars.
I loved taking this one out and I'm wondering how many chances I will get to ride more before it's all over.
Please Harley don't change the Sportsters too much!
