One of the best if not the best middleweight naked bike out there.
The Kawasaki Z900 in its latest form is now smarter, cooler and proper attractive!

The middleweight class is a crowded one but Kawasaki definitely stands out with the Z900. Being the smoothest, most refined and probably the most satisfying to ride.

It all starts with the engine.
The 948cc inline-four unit makes 124bhp which is the perfect amount of power (if you ask me) for the road. It's very enjoyable all the way through accompanied with such a dark roar. Its flexibility means that you can pretty much leave it in a higher gear and it will happily and smoothly pull away.
I love the engine and vibe of the Z900, one of the best in my humble opinion.

Although it weighs 210kg you really have to appreciate the work Kawasaki has done to make it feel as light as a feather.
It feels planted and very well balanced. I just wish it was equipped with better tyres since the stock ones don't feel very grippy. But handling is superb considering the upright riding position.
The handlebars are nice and wide, the seat is well padded, but the tank is huge. So your legs are pretty much spread apart and the knees bent a bit, promoting a sporty position.
The 41mm upside down forks are adjustable for rebound damping and preload. The same adjustability can also be found for the single shock at the rear.
There's plenty of stopping power from the brakes. Even though they are Nissin calipers they do a great job at what they're supposed to.

In 2020 Kawasaki gave the Z900 a new TFT dash, traction control and power modes. The rider aids work in the background and are obtrusive.

Well done Kawasaki! You can buy this amazing Z900 at Bolton Motorcycles starting from £9,299.
